From Bestselling Paranormal Romance Author Lisa Olsen
I’m not hiding who I am. Well, I’m hiding what I am, because you don’t just say Hey, everybody, I’m Scarlett and I’m a shifter at the first mixer. All I want is the chance to go to college with normal people and lead a normal life for a change, maybe even meet a normal guy. I’ve just been too chicken to go after it until now.
I’m making friends, I even met a cute guy who seems into me. Everything’s working out like I’d hoped. Except for this other guy, Kane, who thinks he has to protect me, just because we’re both wolves. Every time I turn around he’s there with his dark, piercing stares and his deep, sexy voice that somehow manages to get past my defenses. I left my pack back home for a new start. The last thing I want is to get caught up in any shifter drama, no matter how sexy the package it comes wrapped up in is.
Kane is exactly the kind of man I don’t want. Bossy, infuriating, insisting he knows what’s best without even asking me, and so freaking hot, his ego’s the size of Texas. I especially hate it when he’s right. It turns out there are scarier things out there than midterms, and they’re after me.
* * *
The last thing Kane’s looking for is a mate - but that's exactly what his Alpha has ordered him to bring home. A very specific mate. Adding Scarlett LaRoche to the pack will cement his ties to her pack and the prophecy, which puts him one step closer to the ultimate power. But can he seduce a girl that doesn’t want to be seduced?
Challenge accepted.
*** Scarlett Moon is a shifter paranormal romance with steamy sex and violence, and should not be read by those under 18. It can be read as a stand alone book, or as part of The Wolves of Cutter’s Folly, and has a HEA. ***

Kane had me under his spell, and I felt a flutter of panic as I realized I’d made a big mistake in agreeing to this dance. But suddenly, I realized he was under mine as well. I could feel the effect of the tiniest shift in my hips all along his body, and the desperate way his hands smoothed over my skin. He was mine, every bit as much as I was his in that moment. It was a definite high, knowing he was completely attuned to my every move. I felt sexy and alive in a way I’d never felt before, and part of it was because I knew I shouldn’t be doing this. Kane wasn’t what I wanted in a man. But it was just a dance. Turning, my back pressed against his chest, never missing a beat when his hands closed on my hips. His hot breath fanned across my neck, and my skin tingled as I sensed his hunger for more than the dance. Kane’s arm wrapped around my middle, pulling me close, and I flashed back to that hot kiss in his kitchen – the feel of his hands on my bare flesh and the rush of desire I’d felt. Was still feeling. Pressed up against the length of his body, we swayed and pulsed together to the beat of the music. At the brush of his lips against my ear, my hand stole up to wrap around the back of his neck, pulling him closer. “Your body remembers me.” His voice was low and intimate by my ear. It wasn’t just a dance. It was so much more. He was right, my body throbbed for his touch, and in that moment I wanted it too. “I remember lots of things,” I whispered back, trusting his ears to pick it up through the din of the room. “So do I. I’m a fucking idiot for letting you go that night.” No, he’d been right to let me go instead of forcing the issue. Stopping had been the right thing to do. Just like I knew I should put on the brakes before what we were doing got too out of hand. And yet my body still moved with his, shivering with delight when I turned to face him and his fingers traced a path down my back. “Admit it. You feel it too.” His cheek nuzzled against mine, marking me with his scent. “I don’t want to,” I murmured, even as I erased the last breath of space between us, pressing up against him shamelessly. “You’re mine,” Kane growled, his fingers sinking into my hair to tip my face up before he took my lips. I opened my mouth to him, awash in the taste of him, drowning in his scent. The kiss in his kitchen had been a pale shadow of the heat that sparked between us on the crowded dance floor. I’d never had anyone take control of me like that. I was utterly his prisoner, trapped by the cage of his arms. One hand held my head in place while the other clutched at my hip as he took what he wanted. He growled again, a primal sound that touched something deep inside me, and I clutched him tighter, my nails raking against his back in my desperation to get closer to him. My reservations were gone. Kane was everything I wanted in a man and the only man for me as I kissed him back with everything I had.

I am a writer, wife, and mother of two currently living in the Pacific Northwest. I am a complete TV addict (have to have it on at all times, even when I'm writing). I also enjoy online RPG's, singing, reading, cooking... lots more I can't think of at the moment.
The supernatural has long been my favorite to write and read. Werewolves, vampires, witchcraft, ghosts, things that go bump in the night; these are a few of my favorite things to write about. Not sparkly beings with phenomenal cosmic power that are always the smartest, bravest, prettiest Mary Sue to walk the planet, but real people who just happen to have this little quirk...
I've just published my 27th book, Scarlett Moon (The second of my Wolves of Cutter's Folly shifter books). I'm currently working on Carter, which takes place in the Forged Bloodlines vampire universe.

The Wicked Awakening Blog Tour

The Wicked Awakened
by Samantha Jacobey,
Genre: Paranormal Romantic Thriller
Release Date: October 13th, 2015

What would you do if a five hundred year old witch wanted to turn your body into her new home?

Morcant and Blake Korrigan own a little shop of horrors, where witches congregate and people ending up dead isn’t rare. When Karen Hiltzman joins their coven, she has no idea what she’s getting into. Drawn in, the group convinces her to recruit her best friend, Sarah Matthews, after discovering that she bears a very special birthmark; one that indicates she’s the girl they’ve been waiting for.

Eager to reincarnate a witch put to death by an angry mob five hundred years prior, Morcant unleashes a spell; a dark and sinister curse. His ritual transforms Sarah’s body and will bring the dreaded Brenna back to life when it’s completed. Blake wants to stop him; but will he be strong enough to defeat his elder sibling, and if he does… will he be able to let her go when it’s done?

L - coarse language

Filling the kettle and placing it on the stove, Karen recalled the meeting with the group, when their plans had been placed into motion. She had mentioned Sarah’s birthmark to Ninia before, pointing out how it looked so much like a swirling spirituality symbol. However, it wasn’t until Genevieve had gotten wind of the oddity that any real interest had stirred within the crowd, and they had asked her to bring Sarah in to meet them.

“You aren’t going to hurt her, are you?” Karen had asked hesitantly.

“Of course not!” Genevieve had soothed. “We want to set her free!” The young woman’s lips had parted into a small grin as she spoke, exposing her straight white teeth.

Karen stared at her pan with large brown orbs, her mind trapped in that moment. “It won’t be easy,” she had replied, “She hasn’t believed in any of this stuff in years.” She shuddered and adjusted the fire before her.

“That’s ok,” Morcant had cut in, stepping up to her and allowing his fingers to trace her jaw. “We’ll convince her; no need to worry about that.” Leaning closer, his mouth had covered hers in a soft kiss.

Drawn to the older man, Karen had felt as if his spirit mingled with hers. Deepening the kiss, she had moaned and pressed her body against him for a long moment before he pulled away.

“See?” his nose nuzzled her cheek, “This is a warm and safe place…” he had paused, extracting himself from her grasp, “Bring your friend; allow her to experience the feel of the coven and to be wrapped in its power.”

The sound of the boiling water drew her back to the present, and Karen cut off the flame. She poured the hot liquid into her waiting cup, adding a few cubes of sugar before she took a seat at the kitchen table and stared out the tiny window that overlooked a small grassy patch behind the house; 'you shouldn’t let him do that to you.'

Several times over the last year, she had been in such a situation with the group; a point where she felt trepidation and fear at what lay before her. Each time, it had been Morcant who had spurred her onward. 'His touch is intoxicating,' she admitted quietly to herself. 'His fingers caress with the feel of magic,' and the kiss had put her over the edge.

'Of course it’s magic;' her mood shifted to angry, 'they’re witches, after all!' But this had gotten out of hand. At some point, it had become too real, and she no longer wanted to be a part of it. However, she could not escape. It felt as if Morcant had her in his grasp, under some dark spell, and she would do his bidding.

Taking another tentative sip, she cut her eyes up at the ceiling above her, as if she could see her friend in her tiny room on the third floor. 'I wonder what they really want with her.' She hadn’t dared to ask, and had done her best to convince Sarah to attend a meeting with her of her own free will. In the end, the girl had refused, and put them on their current path; 'they’re going to have her, willing or not.'

It had taken all Karen’s strength to complete her task today, and remember not to touch the shiny medallion that Morcant had presented to her. He had cursed it somehow, and she had noticed that he took great care when he placed it in the bag for Sarah. 'A powerful amulet, he said.'

Dragging her gaze back to the glass and the sunshine beyond, she tried not to think about what would happen next.

Weird Facts About Witches:

In Sweden, Easter is associated with witches. It was once believed that in the days leading up to Easter Sunday, Swedish witches would fly up chimneys on their brooms to meet and revel on mountaintops. These days, children dress up as witches and go door to door seeking treats, similar to trick-or-treating.

Anyone who knows me could tell you, I am a friendly kind of person, never met a stranger and take up conversations any where at any time. I work hard, and my mind never seems to shut down, as I wake up often in the middle of the night with ideas pouring out and demanding to be dealt with. Of course that means much of my books were written in the middle of the night.

I grew up and still live in the great state of Texas where everything is bigger, where we have warm weather and a central location. I love my state, my town, and my family, which includes my four sons, my significant other, and many friends as well.

I have thoroughly enjoyed writing the books that are currently available and hope you will enjoy reading them just as much. And of course, there will be many more stories to come.

Keda Spencer’s life changed twelve years ago. She met a boy and he stole her heart. The problem was, they were both broken. After learning about his life, she made a decision that would change both of them. Now, they are bound together. Even with miles separating them, she can still feel his heart beating in rhythm with hers.

She recently received news that could lead her back to him. Anticipation blossoms as it is only with him that she can be her true self. But her very next thought is filled with memories and dread takes over. She isn’t sure she can survive him again.

**Warning: This novel may cause triggers and is meant for readers 18 years of age and older.**

“I don’t know the first thing about your family or where you grew up. Hell, I don’t even know your middle name. I think I only know your last name by accident. My point is - I want to be someone you can trust. I am someone you can trust. I don’t want you to run away from me again. Can you give me even a glimpse of what happened to you yesterday? You seemed excited about going to the country club when we talked about it yesterday morning and then, for whatever reason, you freak on Dr. Johnson. Please, Keda. Please let me in.”

“If you want insight into what triggers memories, I can’t give that to you. I never know until it happens,” I reply, checking my watch. I have a little extra time before having to be at work. Feeling guilty about dragging him through my madness, I decide that maybe I can allow him a little glimpse. Maybe it will help him move forward. Maybe it will help me move forward. “Here, I want to show you something,” I say, turning to go back in the house.

As soon as the door is opened my heart begins pounding at the thought of him reading the letter. My palms begin sweating and I can’t seem to unlock the door. Stopping for a moment to gather myself, I’m finally able to unlock then push it open.

“Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea,” I say, coming to a complete stop in front of him. I can feel his breath on my neck and before I know what’s happening, he wraps his arms around my waist. I want to pull away. I want to tell him to stop but I can’t. I wonder if he can hear my nerve endings singe as the electricity flows through me. His warmth is uncharacteristically soothing. My heart is relaxing but my mind speeds up.

“Is this all right?” he asks, in a hushed voice.

“No,” I reply, wishing he would move but glad when he doesn’t. He won’t remove his hands and I am reminded why I have stayed with him for as long as I have. As much as I want to fight him and his touch, he makes my body sing. I want to move out of his grasp but evidently my body needs him. His lips meet my neck and he pulls my body back so it is flush with his. “I need you to remember why we are together. I need you to remember, Keda. Will you do that for us? Will you remember? We are great together and you know it. I will not allow you to walk out of my life,” he says, between kisses.

I need to stop him before we go too far. It’s not fair to either of us if I let this continue. But I need his comfort. After last night, I need anything to take my mind somewhere else, somewhere that isn’t tainted with bad memories.

            “Adam…” I say, breathlessly.
“Yeah, baby?” he replies, as his hands move from my sides to my stomach.
“Please help me forget,” I beg.

“No, baby, I’m going to help you remember,” he says, as he moves from behind me. My eyes move to his once he is facing me. I can’t stand for him to see me, for him to see my vulnerabilities and my transparencies. Comfort envelopes us as he kisses away my tears. His lips take away my deepest fears and my sadness then swallows them whole.

Guilt is dangerous.
It rules my life.
I am riddled with it.
After fifteen years, you would think it would lessen.
It hasn’t.
Drugs numb it, women relieve it.
But it always returns, stronger and heavier.
Always.
The light, it is refreshing.
It gets closer and I reach for it.
But it is always just out of my grasp.
Always.

Objectify Me by: Bibi Rizer - Blog Tour

I'm super excited to share the details of the next book in the fabulous series, the Fireworks Novellas: Objectify Me.

    D21RyZiFiQLOhIjHFpCele5pE_teRLgfbJl3AURDyMk

Here's a video about the Fireworks Novellas

    Blurb:

Seattle law student Levi Borovski has been ceremonially dispatched from his family home to “get over himself” as his mother not so politely puts it. For the last year he’s been experimenting with living by orthodox Jewish traditions and it’s driven his liberal secular parents crazy. To make matters worse, the nice Jewish medical student for whom he put in all this effort has just gotten engaged to someone else. Why Levi’s mother thinks spending Mardi Gras in New Orleans will improve his mood is something of a mystery, but at this stage he’s pretty much ready to try anything. So when his frat buddies ditch him to take off on some drug dealer’s riverboat Levi is left to his own devices in the Big Easy, determined, despite everything to let the good times roll.
Charlotte Gibbs doesn’t exactly hate her demeaning job as a lap dancer in the high end French Quarter gentlemen’s club, Objections. It’s good money and the attention she gets from her mostly rich lawyer clientele satisfies her ego enough that her perpetual singlehood no longer feels like a voodoo curse. Tourists can be a pain though, and Mardi Gras week is especially bad. Still, a hard-working girl like Charlotte is entitled to have a little fun sometimes. So when an adorably drunk but sincere West Coast college boy invites her for a drink, Charlotte decides to take a chance.
Neither of this mismatched set of misfits imagines that the magic of Mardi Gras will rub off on them in quite such a sexy, dramatic and life changing way. When the sun comes up on New Orleans will they find a way to make this unexpected magic last?

    Excerpt:

She tastes like lime and sugar, and her mouth is warm and soft. My cock throbs as I think about what other parts of her might be warm and soft, too. Just when I think I might slide down on the ground with her legs wrapped around me, she pulls back. I sneak a look down at her cleavage which is moving up and down as she breathes heavily.
“So…what’s your hotel like?” She looks back over my shoulder to the hotel a block away.
“It’s nice. Pretty quiet. Quaint, I guess you’d say. It’s decorated with antiques and stuff.”
She looks up at me through her eyelashes, nodding, a twinkle in her eye. “And your room? That’s nice?” all. We even have WiFi.” I pause as I unlock and open the door, taking her hand. This whole situation is so crazy and surreal, I need to make sure I don’t epically screw it up. “I want you to know something,” I say. “I’m not one of those guys who thinks that just because a girl comes to your hotel room, it means she agrees to sex.”
Charlotte grins and touches the tip of her nose onto mine. “But I do agree to sex.” She grabs the front of my shirt and pulls me through the door, slamming it behind us.
