Charley Davidson Series
Moving on to the next awesome series on my list, the Charley Davidson Series. This series is another great story and is definitely hard to put down once you get started!! What can I say about the characters, they are the BEST. I love Charley, she is badass but never fails to make you laugh when you least expect it with her wicked humor. And Reyes, ummm YUMMM, enough said. There are so many other great supporting characters that I have come to love Cookie, Bob, Swopes, Osh & Angel. If you haven't had the pleasure of reading this series, I highly recommend it. The reading order is as follows:
Book One - First Grave on the Right
First Grave on the Right is the smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper.

Book Two - Second Grave on the Left

I have a huge LOVE for the witty, snarky, and kickass amazing comments of Charley and her random t-shirts and bumper stickers...lol! Wrap that up with a fantastic story with amazing characters and you have a hit. If you haven't had an opportunity to check this series out, you should grab it today. :-)

This is hands down one of my favorite series ever. And even knowing that- I b**ched when I saw the $11 kindle price tag. But let me tell you ladies & gents- this book is TOTALLY worth $11. It's epic, stupendous, and hilarious. Darynda has this amazing ability to write such funny, touching, mysterious, exciting, and still romantic/erotic storylines. She blends the best of what makes up paranormal fiction into one amazing book. I'm still reeling from the last few chapters of the book. Wow. Way to go out with a BANG Darynda!
This book taught me a few important things about Darynda's writing. It's now apparent to me that Darynda doesn't seem to waste character space on inconsequential things. Even tiny things later become HUGE parts of the storyline. And while some of it is so glaring obvious (I saw a few things coming from a mile away) she dangles these "obvious" carrots in front of our faces and WHAM side swipes us with something we didn't (or at least I didn't) see coming. Knowing this I'm now piecing together all sorts of little "inconsequential" things from this book and seeing if I can come to my own conclusions as to what's in for store with Charley and the gang in the next installment.
On one final note to Darynda- thank you. Thank you for bringing Reyes Farrow into my life. He is a god among men. He is epically HOT, carnal, and hidden in among all his growls and glares there's a real romantic. Nothing hotter than a tough guy who despite all of his many faults (which he doesn't hold back from pointing out to Charley in this book) still manages to love that one special girl. I gotta admit- I'm worried sick about what'll happen between Charley & Reyes. Darynda throws a ton of premonitions at us in this book. And while it's great to have some more answers... those answers aren't exactly comforting. I figure we just gotta have faith and hope that two people who seem so destined for each other isn't a bad thing."
